First Day of School (Copy)

9/5/22 - The twin girls I sponsor, Bright and Brilliant, head to school today for the first time. They arrive with the other children from Venerate orphanage who will be living at Blue Sky School during the school year. I received heart-warming photos and videos of the day.

Volunteering in Arusha, Tanzania

7/16/22 - 8/8/22 - I spent 3 weeks teaching at Venerate Orphanage with fellow volunteer, Sunny, from Austrailia. I traveled there each morning and taught English, reading, writing, math, science, and art with the help of Emmanuel and Adam who interpreted for us. The children greeted us with smiles each day and were so eager to learn. I remember them fondly and video chat with them often. I plan to visit them again in a few years.
